Rebecca Jane Flanagan

Rebecca Jane Flanagan is a passionate early childhood teacher and dynamic professional development presenter. Born in East Fremantle, Western Australia, Rebecca has always enjoyed bringing her imagination to life, and developed a great love for writing stories, singing and dancing throughout her childhood. Following many years of tuition with an opera mentor, Rebecca went on to train in Classical Voice at the Conservatorium of Music, and then completed her studies with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education Degree at the University of Notre Dame, achieving the Early Years in Education Society Graduate Award for Early Childhood Teacher with the Greatest Career Potential. Rebecca has worn many “hats” over the years but they have always involved children. After many happy years spent as a Kindergarten Teacher in one of Australia's leading co-educational colleges, Rebecca then honed her talents and expertise to create her highly popular and respected early childhood musical performance and training company "Musical Experiences For Children". She kept her finger on the pulse in formal education by relief teaching in a large number of primary schools and continued on as a supervisor for pre service teachers completing their practical teaching components. Rebecca has taught within the School of Education at The University of Notre Dame, as well as her role as Master Class Specialist in the Arts within the Graduate School of Education at The University of WA, and more recently within the School of Education for Curtin University. Through her vast experience and knowledge, Rebecca has earned the reputation as an exceptional early years education specialist and entertainment personality.
